Since September 2016, a new certification has been more about: the CERTILED. Indeed, for several years, the LED market is expanding. The decline in prices and often ignorance of this technology led a reduced quality by some providers.

Consumers may not be able to differentiate between multiple products on the market to the disparate and good performance often unverifiable.

So how to be sure of the quality of your LED? It is to this question that attempts to answer the CERTILED certification.

A Joint Initiative

Under the leadership of GIL – Union of the Luminaire, the Cluster light, the FFIE (French Federation of companies of electrical and energy engineering) and many manufacturers and distributors, the reflection of the CERTILED began. For all these actors of the luminaire, the purpose is to guarantee to the buyer the data specified by the manufacturer are accurate.

The CERTILED association which unites all these players has aimed to guarantee the veracity of the performance announced by manufacturers, such as irradiance, luminous efficiency and lifetime in the market. Users/prescribers will be able to compare and select their lighting products.

Operation of the Label

The manufacturer shall provide measures of performance from a recognized laboratory or laboratory approved by the association. It must also provide the fixture and his declaration of conformity.

The cost is the statement of the folder and the approved laboratory tests.

The association conducts annually in collaboration with distribution and installers samples for verification.
